The State Age swimmers endured warm and sunny conditions for 5 days and nights from Thursday 10th to Monday 14th March at MSAC to compete at the 2022 Victorian Age Championships. Our Club had 19
individual qualifying and competing swimmers and 10 qualifying relay teams. Congratulations to Layla
Mahfouz winning a Bronze medal in the 15 years 200m Butterfly. Eight swimmers qualified to swim a total of 22 finals. The 12/13 year boys (Enrico Villegas, Yuan Lachama, Ethan Bloss & Peter Berens) had an awesome swim in the 4x50m freestyle relay, narrowly missing a medal for 4th place. The same team followed up with 6th place in the 4x50m medley relay. An amazing effort from all swimmers in both relay and individual events.
