Melton Swimming Club

About Us

The Melton Swimming Club operates two distinct memberships, our Swimming Australia affiliated membership and our Masters Swimming Australia affiliated membership. Swimmers over 18 years of age may register under both affiliations if they so desire.

The Club takes members of any age from 6 upwards who have become competent swimmers able to complete competition distances in their chosen strokes. Our members currently come from all suburbs of the Melton City and Bacchus Marsh as well as suburbs and towns from neighbouring municipalities.

Our purpose is to provide access to a friendly environment that allows swimmers of all ages to compete at club, district, state, national and international levels. The Club does not run learn to swim or squad training therefore we are not restricted in who we can take as members. Our only ask is that if you are not a member of the Melton Waves training squads your coach must be willing to allow the Club’s coaches to guide the swimmer and represent the swimmer’s coach at competitions where Club affiliation is required to gain pool deck access.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Melton Swimming Club is to:

• Provide swimmers of all skill levels the opportunity to compete in an environment that encourages participation and rewards achievement.
• Assist swimmers in meeting their potential through:
  • Providing swimming events that allow them to qualify for State and National Competitions.
  • Providing guidance and support through the swimming network in the Metro West District.
  • Support to coaches, captains and team managers.
  • Providing programmes that assist swimmers meeting their goals.
• Encourage participation in swimming for all people living in Melton and the surrounding areas.
